Preparing for a new year
Recently, I have been asked whether I read a book named “A year to remember”. I am keen on Vlog (video log) because there are a lot of creative ideas and surprisingly, “an author of the book” is one of the YouTubers who I like watching the videos. I appreciate her videos, but I was told about the book by my friend. To be honest, I have never heard about the book and I was curious about the content; I have been thinking that every year should be memorable and why we must remember only one year. Then I noticed we can not remember all the days or weeks of a year. Suddenly, I came up with an idea. If we list the days which we remember clearly, there will not be bullets more than half of our ages. That is the problem.
Now I am nineteen years old and engineering student. Like other students, there is an ambition to “develop myself” and “be happy” in my heart. I hope the coming year might bring a lot of happiness and encouragement, but there is a need for something that I don’t know. The only known thing is that I have to, no… must plant a seed of change. Without this, my coming year life will be something like last year and I cannot sit while watching or dreaming my life destinies. My last year was wonderful and tremendous, though. My tomorrow must differ from past, even miracle happened yesterday. So, what kind of seed I needed?
I have never thought about particular changes needed for my lifestyle. But I am not satisfied and my lifestyle seems slightly boring for me. Timekeeping is important to me, but there must be leisure time to rest, socialize and expand knowledge and experiences. There is plenty of paradox inside me. Indeed, I need a big change in my life.
Firstly, I decided to start writing some articles (not that article, just stories or essays) in which I can express my ideas and thoughts. I have thought about it for a long time and today is the day to begin. Every weekend, I write some articles and publish them on Sunday. I am learning English as a second language and strongly believe in writing affects my study so well. Fruitful movement! I read books, most of them are adventure fiction, biography and romance novels in my native language. After reading a book, I am inspired to observe, learn and write life scenes. Every time I do an observation, I find the life and people as a magical and historical object. Sometimes I assume myself as a wizard. So, I need to show my enchanted world to others.
The second thing is using a “bullet journal” (also known as “bujo”)in which I can write and draw my ideas as well as a timeline, but it would be minimalist. One vlog influenced me to outset the ordered notes and her bullet journal was colorful and fancy. However, I have any of those skills and I choose a more minimalist note. Once my English teacher said that he was an artist because he taught English artistically. Therefore, I just need to make my bujo artistically for me. Unsuccessfully, I made a mistake on the first page of my bujo so I tore away the page and now I have no idea to do. Maybe, I just watch some instructions for beginners.
The third change is that I will try a new thing every week and I’ll make it my habit if it perfectly fits me. The key idea was taken from the book, “A year to remember” and I’ll have attempted 52 activities by the end of the next year. Also, I expect to have gotten some strong, active and healthful habits by the time. I like to learn techniques from others, especially, experts or believed person as an expert. There is a quote, “Knowledge is the daughter of experience.” so that, I will make my full effort on trying new things in the new year.
When you make a plan for your new year, new month or a new week, do not always think about the results and consequences. Everything has own pros and cons. However, there is at least one activity which can change your life to better. Believe in that. You will be advanced, successful, systematically developed, yet again, by yet another habit, inspiring ideas.
Out with the old, in with the new: may you be happy the whole year through. Happy New Year!
P.S.It is my very first piece and see you next Sunday with marvelous ideas!
