Diving deep into own mind

When did you talk to yourself at last? For me, it was quite a long time ago. I used to walk from home to a university, then I was able to talk to myself about everything. The course I worried about, the book I wanted to read, the girl I loved, and the color of the sky were mentioned during the talk. It was halted due to the pandemic, I do not walk around these days. Neither do I talk to me.

Recently, I was advised to take an hour to discuss my plan of a career with myself. It was an excellent idea to adopt because I know that it would work and help me like the old days. However, I did not directly dive into career planning, instead I started with my holiday planning which implies problems that happened to my daily schedule.

For a short time, I am on holiday and really have to take a break. The last few weeks were really challenging for me. I made a performance below my expectations and goal. It was very disappointing especially after rocketing increase. I made a mistake in trading off between my studies and extracurricular activities. Interestingly, I have found it only after talking to myself. There was a key to a barrier that keeps me far from successful student life, but I could not find it at the right time when it is needed most because I did not strive for the answer. As the saying goes, the right time is always now.

I have a daily planner, but I have not been managing to keep a diary for few weeks due to my poor time management as well as ignorance. Without any intention, it was difficult to keep during hard times because I have taken the habit not long ago. Therefore, my first goal is to re-take the old and beneficial habit — time tracking. On the daily planner, I can log my time, list my to-dos, and create a timeline. To set a reminder, I use an alarm on my smartphone where I can also set alarms for the morning and evening as well. One of the challenges for the planner is to predict and plan for tomorrow. Since I live and study in my home, my schedule must meet my family schedule. If I am not in harmony with others, there must be some interruptions during my focus time; it is either lunch or family time. Moreover, I really keen on the early bird lifestyle. The holiday is an opportunity for me to readjust my circadian rhythm.

Apart from the productivity issues, I had problems in many fields of my life. Interestingly enough, every answer to my problems has existed inside me. It was locked though, only I can open it by asking and thinking. As an expression goes, “To the who knocks, the door will be opened”. Now I am thrilled for finding a way to solving problems. The master key to every obstacle is to ask. No matter if it is related to personal issues or professional predicament, it would be better to ask yourself or an expert, accordingly.

After long talking, I realized that the more talking sessions, the less I will stick to a problem. Believing in yourself and relying on an inner person can help us to tackle troubles. Before trying to assume possibilities, we should define worry as clear as possible. When the question is plain, an answer is obvious. Followingly, an all-purpose solution will be found.

The more you spend inner wisdom, the more you gain. 😄📄
